As I mentioned before, next week will be busy because I will go to three concerts in five days. The list is here: Sammy Hagar, Iron Maiden, and ASKA. Today, I'd like to talk about Sammy Hagar.

Sammy Hagar was the second vocalist of Van Halen(VH). The reason I wrote in the past tense is Van Halen virtually broke up because of Edward Van Halen's death in 2020. There were a bunch of rumors about tribute events for Eddie after he had passed away, but none of them came true. However, last year Sammy Hagar announced a brand new tour featuring songs from VH era, with Michael Anthony on bass, an original menber of VH, Joe Satriani on guitar, a bandmate of Sammy Hagar in Chickenfoot, and Jason Bonham on drums, a son of Legendary drummer John Bonham.

This is amazing! I thought, and deeply wished they would come to Japan. My wish finally came true! The Japan tour was announced this year. The last time Sammy came to Japan was Balance Tour in 1995 or 1996, which I din't go nor know the band well. Although Van Halen came to Japan about ten years ago along with David Lee Roth, the first singer of the band, this will be my first time to see Sammy Hagar playing VH classic songs.
